Description: Three years after inventor Wayne Szalinski accidentally shrank his and his neighbor’s children, his family relocates to Nevada and welcomes their mischievous two-year-old son, Adam. While Wayne’s wife, Diane, and their daughter, Amy, leave to settle Amy into college, Wayne stays home to care for Adam and their teenage son, Nick, who has developed a crush on Mandy Park. Wayne later hires Mandy to babysit Adam.
The next day, Wayne takes Nick and Adam to Sterling Labs, where he has developed an advanced version of his shrink ray capable of enlarging objects. During a test on Adam’s favorite toy, Big Bunny, Wayne and Nick momentarily turn away, allowing Adam to interfere. The machine appears to malfunction, but Adam and the toy are later exposed to microwave electrical waves, causing them to grow significantly. Adam soon reaches 7 feet tall.
Wayne and Nick attempt to reverse the process at the lab but are thwarted by Wayne’s jealous coworker, Dr. Charles Hendrickson, who seeks to take credit for the invention. Diane returns early and, alongside Wayne and Nick, struggles to manage the oversized Adam.
In a desperate attempt to restore Adam, Wayne and Diane retrieve his original prototype. While testing it, Wayne accidentally shrinks two Nevada Highway Patrol troopers, causing them considerable distress. Meanwhile, Adam continues to grow after exposure to more electrical waves, eventually escaping through a wall at 14 feet tall.
