Description: The McCallister family prepares for a Christmas trip to Paris to visit Peter and Frank’s brother, Rob. They gather at Peter and Kate’s home in a Chicago suburb the night before their flight. Eight-year-old Kevin, their youngest son, is teased by his siblings and cousins. That night, a power outage causes the alarm clocks to reset, making the family oversleep. In the rush to reach the airport on time, Kevin is accidentally left behind. The family only realizes this after their plane has taken off. In Paris, his parents frantically try to arrange a flight back home.
The next morning, Kevin wakes up disappointed to find his family still gone. He later hears his mother, Kate, returning home. The two reunite and reconcile. Shortly after, the rest of the McCallisters, traveling directly from Paris to Chicago, arrive.
On Christmas Eve, Kevin overhears Harry and Marv plotting to break into his house that night. After talking to a Santa Claus impersonator and watching a local choir perform at a church, he meets Marley. Marley shares that he’s watching the choir because his granddaughter is in it, but he hasn’t spoken to his son in years due to an old argument. Kevin encourages him to reconcile with his son. Later, Kevin sees Marley reuniting with his family. However, Buzz interrupts by shouting, “Kevin! What did you do to my room?” Kevin rushes to check, and the film concludes.
