Description: Hitman: Agent Jun is a 2020 South Korean film that follows the story of Jun, a former secret agent who fakes his death to pursue his dream of becoming a webtoon artist. Originally an orphan with exceptional fighting and drawing skills, Jun was recruited by the National Intelligence Service, where he earned the title of “Elite Assassin.” Despite his successful career as an agent, his passion for creating comics never faded, and he would often sketch during his missions.
One stormy night, Jun stages a fatal accident by jumping out of a helicopter, convincing the NIS of his death. Fifteen years later, he has started a family and is working as a cartoonist. However, his dream of success in the comic industry remains unfulfilled, as his webtoons receive harsh criticism and fail to attract readers. To make ends meet, he takes on a construction site job.
During a slump, Jun impulsively creates a comic based on his past life as a secret agent. Drunk and frustrated, he publishes it, and unexpectedly, the comic becomes a massive hit, skyrocketing to the top of the charts. While this seems like a breakthrough, it inadvertently exposes classified national secrets, putting Jun’s safety at risk. The NIS discovers that he is alive, and terrorists become involved, turning his peaceful life into chaos.
Hitman: Agent Jun combines action, humor, and drama as Jun navigates the challenges of balancing his past and present while trying to protect his family and career.
