The story revolves around Krishna Dev ‘K.D.’, a sharp and arrogant police officer in the Andhra Pradesh CID, working with the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) in Visakhapatnam. Known for his exceptional attention to detail and quick problem-solving skills, K.D. earns the trust of his senior officer, DGP Nageswara Rao.
One day, K.D. is assigned to investigate the brutal murder of a woman named Sanjana, whose severed head is discovered in a bar’s kitchen. Shockingly, the killer had mixed body parts from multiple women at the crime scene. The plot follows K.D.’s efforts to uncover the killer’s motives and prevent further murders.
Following the success of HIT: The First Case, Nani announced the sequel in February 2021. Director Sailesh Kolanu returned for the second installment, with Adivi Sesh replacing Vishwak Sen as the lead. Nani aimed to make the franchise concept-oriented rather than star-oriented, shifting the setting from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh. Meenakshi Chaudhary was cast opposite Sesh, adding depth to the narrative.
