Description: Hey! Sinamika is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film, written by Madhan Karky and directed by Brinda in her directorial debut. The title is inspired by a song from the movie *O Kadhal Kanmani*. Produced by Jio Studios and Global One Studios, the film features Dulquer Salmaan, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. With music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by Preetha Jayaraman, the production began in March 2021. The movie was also dubbed in Telugu and Malayalam, releasing simultaneously with the Tamil version.
The story follows Yaazhan (Dulquer Salmaan) and Mouna (Aditi Rao Hydari), who fall deeply in love and get married. However, after two years of marriage, Mouna grows tired of Yaazhan’s overly affectionate and talkative nature, leading her to separate from him to live life on her own terms. Enter Dr. Malarvizhi (Kajal Aggarwal), who forms a close bond with Yaazhan, sparking jealousy in Mouna, who now wants her husband back.
As Malarvizhi falls for Yaazhan, he too begins to develop feelings for her, unaware at first. Mouna tries to scheme her way back into his life, but Yaazhan confronts her, stating she gave up on him and no longer deserves his love. Heartbroken, Mouna leaves. While Malarvizhi initially feels happy about Yaazhan reciprocating her feelings, she soon realizes he might still miss Mouna. Encouraging him to reconcile with his wife, the film concludes with Yaazhan and Mouna reuniting, while Malarvizhi smiles through her tears.
Choreographer-turned-director Brinda’s *Hey Sinamika* had a successful theatrical run before its release on Netflix and Jio Cinema on March 31, 2022. The film showcases a blend of romance, comedy, and emotional drama, making it a memorable watch.
