Description: AnjaniPutra Sensharma, a school teacher from a small village called Basirhat in West Bengal, lives a modest life with his wife Tanushree and an old moped. As part of a school grant, he receives a desktop computer for home use. Through the computer, he befriends Maria Fischer, a woman claiming to be from Reykjavik, Iceland. However, their interaction takes a dark turn when AnjaniPutra witnesses Maria being murdered by a masked man via webcam. This traumatic event leaves him in a state of psychological shock.
Driven by a determination to uncover the truth behind Maria’s death, AnjaniPutra sells his ancestral land and travels to Iceland. Struggling to navigate the unfamiliar country, he finds support in a Bangladeshi family, particularly Hassan and his young daughter Nuri. A close bond forms between AnjaniPutra and Nuri, who becomes determined to help him. Together, they discover that the address Maria provided is fake.
Using her hacking skills, Nuri uncovers that Maria’s murderer is the local mayor, who secretly leads a double life as a sociopathic rapist. Nuri devises a plan to lure the mayor by sending him emails suggesting Maria is still alive. She also steals her father’s gun and convinces AnjaniPutra to confront the murderer. Despite his initial fear, AnjaniPutra ultimately takes action, shooting the mayor when he attempts to attack a decoy set up to resemble Maria.
Maria’s body is later discovered in a lake in Munich, Germany, and AnjaniPutra’s actions make headlines in international news. The film concludes with AnjaniPutra returning home to a relieved and tearful Tanushree, marking the end of his harrowing journey.
