Description: Hannie Caulder (1971) tells the story of a frontier wife, Hannie Caulder (Raquel Welch), living with her husband at a remote horse station in the American West. After a failed bank raid, the Clemens brothers gang arrives, brutally murders her husband, rapes her, burns her home, and leaves her for dead. Seeking revenge, Hannie enlists the help of bounty hunter Thomas Price (Robert Culp), who trains her to become a skilled gunfighter. Together, they travel to Mexico to have gunsmith Bailey (Christopher Lee) craft a specialized revolver for her.
During a confrontation with bandits, Hannie struggles to take a life face-to-face. Price advises her to abandon her quest, but she refuses, cutting ties with him. As Price departs, he encounters the Clemens brothers in town. In an attempt to confront Frank, Price is mortally wounded by Emmett (Ernest Borgnine). Hannie continues her pursuit, killing Frank in a whorehouse and Rufus (Strother Martin) in a store. She lures Emmett to an old prison for a final showdown. Though Emmett nearly kills her, a preacher intervenes, allowing Hannie to face and kill Emmett. In the end, she realizes that Price was right—revenge has irreversibly changed her.
