Storyline:
Hanna Heller is a fifteen-year-old girl raised by her father, Erik, in the remote wilderness of northern Finland. Since the age of two, Hanna has been trained by Erik, a former CIA operative, to become a highly skilled assassin. He has taught her advanced combat techniques and shooting skills. Erik is guarding a dangerous secret that must remain hidden. Meanwhile, Marissa Wiegler, a high-ranking CIA officer, is determined to track him down and eliminate him.
Erik has prepared Hanna with the specific goal of killing Marissa. One night, Hanna declares she is “ready” to face their enemies. Erik unearths a radio beacon that will signal the CIA and lead them to their location. Although he warns Hanna that a confrontation with Marissa could result in the death of either her or Marissa, he leaves the final decision up to Hanna. She activates the beacon, prompting Erik to leave and instruct her to meet him in Berlin.
Hanna is captured by special forces and taken to a covert CIA facility. Suspicious, Marissa sends a decoy to interrogate Hanna when she specifically asks for Marissa by name. During the interaction, Hanna begins to cry and tightly embraces the decoy, unsettling her captors. Guards are sent to her cell to sedate her, but Hanna fights back, killing the decoy and several guards before escaping. She discovers she is in Morocco.
While on the run, Hanna encounters Sebastian, Rachel, and their children, Sophie and Miles, who are on a camper-van holiday. She secretly boards their vehicle on a ferry to Spain, aiming to reach Berlin. The family shows her kindness, and she forms a bond with Sophie, even revealing her plans to meet Erik in Berlin. The two share a moment of closeness, including a kiss.
