Description: John Hancock, a reckless alcoholic with extraordinary abilities like flight, invulnerability, and superhuman strength, struggles with a tarnished reputation in Los Angeles. Despite his heroic deeds, the public despises him for his drunken and irresponsible behavior, often labeling him with harsh words. When he saves Ray Embrey, a PR specialist, from a train collision—albeit causing massive destruction in the process—Ray sees an opportunity to rehabilitate Hancock’s image. Ray introduces Hancock to his family, including his admiring son, Aaron, and his wife, Mary, who immediately distrusts Hancock. Under Ray’s guidance, Hancock publicly apologizes for his actions and agrees to serve time in prison until the city truly needs him. However, Hancock’s temper flares in prison, leading to further complications. Eventually, he is released to combat rising crime, successfully thwarting a bank robbery and earning public praise. Hancock later reveals his immortality and amnesia to Ray and Mary, explaining he has no memory of his past. A shocking twist unfolds when Mary demonstrates her own superpowers, disclosing that they are siblings who have lived for thousands of years. Their bond and shared history add complexity to their already turbulent lives.
