Description: The 2007 movie “Halloween” revolves around Michael Myers, a child who displays psychopathic behavior. On Halloween in Haddonfield, Illinois, ten-year-old Michael kills a school bully, his older sister Judith, her boyfriend Steve Haley, and his mother’s abusive partner Ronnie White, sparing only his infant sister. Following one of the longest trials in the state’s history, Michael is convicted of first-degree murder and sent to Smith’s Grove Sanitarium under the care of child psychologist Dr. Samuel Loomis.
Initially, Michael cooperates with Loomis and receives regular visits from his mother, Deborah. However, over the next year, Michael becomes detached, obsesses over papier-mâché masks, and withdraws from those around him, including his mother. When Michael kills a nurse during one of Deborah’s visits, she becomes overwhelmed and takes her own life.
For the next 15 years, Michael remains silent, continuing to craft masks. Loomis eventually closes Michael’s case and moves on with his life. However, Michael escapes from the sanitarium, killing guards and staff. He makes his way back to Haddonfield, retrieves the knife and mask he used the night he killed his sister, and begins stalking Laurie Strode and her friends, Annie Brackett and Lynda Van Der Klok, who are preparing for Halloween.
Throughout the day, Laurie notices Michael watching her from a distance. That night, Michael’s terrifying return unfolds as he targets those around him, reigniting the horror of his past.
