**Plot Summary:**
Governor Jaisingh Sinha is a prominent political leader who oversees a meeting involving influential industrialist Meghnad Chaudhry, socialist union leader Vilas Rao, and minister Mantriji. Jaisingh’s stepson, Sahil, is a carefree and independent young man who harbors resentment toward his stepfather. Sahil reconnects with Isha, the daughter of Jaisingh’s personal secretary, Ishwar Dewan. The two had been separated when Isha was sent to a boarding school, but they reunite and fall in love.
Meanwhile, Meghnad’s daughter, Sheetal, is also in love with Sahil, but he sees her only as a close friend. When Jaisingh announces Sahil’s engagement to Sheetal, a heated argument ensues. Sahil confesses his love for Isha, but Jaisingh refuses to accept it. In a moment of anger, Sahil attempts to stab Jaisingh but is stopped by his mother, Sharda.
The following day, Sahil gets heavily drunk at the home of Dr. Gandhi, the Sinha family’s physician. Dr. Gandhi advises Sahil to marry Sheetal, claiming it would lead to a happier life. Before being transported to jail, Sahil gives Sheetal a necklace, which he believes was left behind by the actual killer. He asks her to keep it safe and pledges to uncover the truth about Jaisingh’s murder, finally realizing his stepfather’s love for him.
