Description: Sakhi is famously known in her village as “bad luck Sakhi” because many believe she brings misfortune to anyone who crosses her path. Her life takes a turn when two men become pivotal in changing her fate. The story follows Sakhi, a 25-year-old woman from a small village who is considered a harbinger of bad luck. Despite this belief, she remains cheerful and unaffected by the superstitions surrounding her. Her family has already attempted to arrange her marriage five times, but each attempt ended in disaster as the grooms met with unfortunate accidents.
Sakhi’s childhood friend, Goli Raju, now known as Rama Rao, is a theater artist with dreams of becoming a star. Another childhood friend, Soori, persistently attempts to win her affection, even in the presence of his wife. The arrival of Colonel, a retired army officer, brings a new opportunity for Sakhi as he sets up a sharpshooting academy in the village. Given her natural talent with marbles and shooting, she is encouraged to pursue this path, leading to a significant change in her life.
The film, “Good Luck Sakhi,” often feels lengthy and unfocused, much like the sweets Sakhi and Raju enjoy. While it has its charming moments, the narrative struggles to maintain its momentum. The story hints at potential conflicts and rivalries but fails to fully explore them. Ultimately, Sakhi’s journey is supported by her loving family, who have no reservations about her pursuing a career in sports. Despite occasional envy, her friends also stand by her side. The movie is available in multiple audio languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
