**Storyline:**
The film follows the lives of four friends—Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), and Laxman (Sharman Joshi). Laxman, a bright student, gets caught up in the antics of his mischievous friends, who use his hostel room for their schemes. Gopal is the strong one, Madhav is the brains, and Lucky, though mute, is always by their side. Peer pressure leads Laxman into participating in scams, which eventually gets him expelled from college.
The group finds shelter in the home of a blind couple, Somnath (Paresh Rawal) and Mangala (Sushmita Mukherjee), who are awaiting their grandson, Sameer, to inherit a hidden treasure in their house. Gopal pretends to be Sameer, while the others sneak in, leading to a series of comedic situations as they try to maintain their ruse.
Adding to the chaos is Nirali (Rimi Sen), the girl next door, who becomes the object of their affections. Amid romantic pursuits, the friends also face challenges from a gangster named Babli, who is after the hidden treasure. Despite their bumbling efforts, the group unintentionally thwarts Babli’s plans.
The story takes a turn when Somnath reveals the truth about Sameer’s death, just as the group discovers the hidden chest behind an old painting. Laxman’s pleas to leave it unopened go unheard, setting the stage for the film’s climactic moments.
