**Storyline:**
In the fictional Gujarati village of Ranjhaar, known for its widespread arms trade, two rival clans—Rajadi and Sanera—have been feuding for 500 years. The conflict escalates when Bhavani, a Sanera, shoots Meghji Bhai’s son, a Rajadi leader. Meghji nearly kills Bhavani, but Ram, Meghji’s younger brother, intervenes and saves him. Despite being seen as a troublemaker involved in illegal activities, Ram’s desire for peace between the clans irritates the Rajadi elders.
During the Holi festival, Ram boldly enters the Sanera household and flirts with Leela, ignoring the tension between the families. Meanwhile, Leela’s mother, Dhankor Baa, is arranging her marriage to an NRI. Leela’s brother, Kanji, is furious and orchestrates a police raid on Ram’s house, but Ram cleverly avoids trouble. Despite the odds, Ram and Leela fall in love and plan to elope. Tragedy strikes when Kanji accidentally kills Meghji, and Ram retaliates by killing Kanji.
Ram and Leela escape, marry, and attempt to start a new life, but their happiness is short-lived. Ram’s friends betray him, leading to their separation. Leela is forcibly taken back to her family, while Ram is celebrated by the Rajadis for his actions and made their new leader.
Dhankor Baa, determined to control Leela’s future, arranges her engagement to the NRI. Leela refuses, citing her marriage to Ram as the reason. In a fit of rage, Dhankor chops off Leela’s finger, marking a brutal twist in their already tumultuous lives.
