Description: Five years after Godzilla defeated his extraterrestrial rival, King Ghidorah, he and Kong remain the last active Titans on Earth. On Skull Island, the environment has become unstable, and Kong now lives under the watch of Monarch inside a massive dome. Jia, the last native of the Iwi tribe and Ilene Andrews’ adopted deaf daughter, communicates with Kong using sign language.
Meanwhile, Bernie Hayes, a former Apex Cybernetics employee and host of a Titan conspiracy podcast, uncovers disturbing activities at an Apex facility in Pensacola. During an unexpected attack by Godzilla on the facility, Bernie discovers a device similar to the ORCA, which was previously used to communicate with or control Titans. Madison Russell, a fan of Bernie’s podcast, teams up with her friend Josh to investigate Godzilla’s actions. They find Bernie and sneak into the damaged Apex base, uncovering a hidden underground facility. Accidentally locked in, they are transported to Hong Kong inside a container carrying Skullcrawler eggs—two-legged reptilian creatures discovered by Monarch. In Hong Kong, they stumble upon a test of Mechagodzilla, a robotic version of Godzilla controlled by Ren Serizawa, son of the late Ishirō Serizawa, using the neural networks of Ghidorah’s severed head. The test is halted due to power supply issues.
Walter Simmons, an Apex executive, recruits Nathan Lind, a former Monarch scientist specializing in Hollow Earth theory, to locate a new energy source in the Hollow Earth. Nathan visits Skull Island and convinces Ilene to allow Kong to guide them. Joined by Ilene and an Apex team led by Walter’s daughter Maya, they embark on a journey aboard a modified barge, with Kong lightly sedated and restrained.
