Description: Jack Carter, a mob enforcer from Las Vegas, returns to Seattle after learning about his brother Ritchie’s death in a supposed drunk-driving accident. Con McCarty, his partner, covers for Jack with their mob boss, Fletcher, who is unaware of Jack’s affair with his girlfriend, Audrey. At the funeral, Jack meets his niece, Doreen, and Eddie, a friend of Ritchie. Both insist Ritchie rarely drank and would never drive under the influence, claiming he wasn’t involved in illegal activities. Jack also speaks with Geraldine, who avoids answering questions about her connection to Ritchie.
During the wake, Jack continues investigating Ritchie’s death, upsetting Ritchie’s widow, Gloria. He confronts Cliff Brumby, the owner of the club Ritchie managed, who reveals Ritchie was having an affair with Geraldine, an associate of local crime boss Cyrus Paice. Jack questions Paice but gains no useful information until he follows him to Jeremy Kinnear, a wealthy tech mogul. Kinnear hired Paice to discreetly provide women for his parties to maintain his clean image, but Paice now blackmails Kinnear into managing his pornographic websites.
Examining surveillance footage from Brumby’s club, Jack discovers Paice produces amateur porn films featuring young women drugged and assaulted by Eddie and Geraldine. One video reveals Doreen as a victim. Geraldine had informed Ritchie about the video, but he was murdered before he could report it to the police. Audrey ends her relationship with Jack, who informs Fletcher he’s leaving Las Vegas. McCarty and another gangster are sent to confront Jack, but he evades them. Jack comforts Doreen, assuring her she’s a good person despite the trauma.
