Description: Tattoo artist Jimmy Jayne becomes a person of interest in a high-profile investigation led by Detectives Bill Freeman and Freddy Vargas. The discovery of a lighter engraved with the name of his tattoo studio, Gasoline Alley, at a gruesome crime scene—a mass murder of aspiring Hollywood starlets who worked as prostitutes—puts Jayne under intense scrutiny. As the story unfolds, Detective Freeman’s involvement in a human trafficking ring operating through a tunnel between San Diego and Tijuana comes to light. The film reaches its climax in a dramatic shootout in a Mexican warehouse, where Jayne, leveraging his sharpshooting skills, disables Freeman and his accomplice before setting the place on fire.
Simultaneously, Jayne, now implicated in the triple homicide, takes matters into his own hands. Seeking justice and truth, he collaborates with the same detectives pursuing him to uncover a conspiracy far more explosive than any of them anticipated.
Director Edward Drake’s work here raises eyebrows, especially given the involvement of actors like Bruce Willis and Luke Wilson. Willis, known for his recent string of underwhelming performances, appears largely disengaged, while Wilson, a typically reliable talent, carries much of the investigative weight. Devon Sawa, portraying Jayne, attempts to infuse energy into the otherwise lackluster narrative. The film, often criticized as a low-effort VOD production, struggles to leave a lasting impression despite its ambitious plot.
