Description: Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties (2006) is a comedy film that continues the adventures of everyone’s favorite lasagna-loving cat. Two years after the events of the first movie, Jon Arbuckle plans to surprise his girlfriend, veterinarian Dr. Liz Wilson, by following her on her business trip to London. Unbeknownst to Jon, his pets, Garfield and Odie, escape from a kennel and sneak into his luggage, joining him on the journey. Once in London, Garfield and Odie wander off out of boredom and find themselves lost in the bustling city streets.
Meanwhile, in the English countryside, the late Lady Eleanor Carlyle’s will is revealed at Carlyle Castle. She leaves her grand estate to her beloved cat, Prince XII, who lives a life of luxury and bears a striking resemblance to Garfield. This decision angers Lady Carlyle’s greedy nephew, Lord Manfred Dargis, who is left with only a small weekly allowance. Determined to take control of the estate, Lord Dargis schemes to eliminate Prince, trapping him and tossing him into a river. However, a case of mistaken identity occurs when Jon finds Prince and takes him to the hotel, thinking he’s Garfield, while Prince’s butler, Smithee, mistakes Garfield for Prince and brings him to the castle.
At the castle, Garfield enjoys royal treatment, complete with a butler and a group of animal followers, including Prince’s loyal bulldog, Winston. As Garfield settles into his new role, Prince adjusts to life with Jon. Meanwhile, Lord Dargis, still determined to destroy the estate and build a resort, tries to eliminate Garfield, whom he believes is Prince. His schemes grow increasingly desperate, even involving a dim-witted Rottweiler named Rommel. Throughout the chaos, Garfield and his newfound friends must navigate the challenges and uncover Lord Dargis’s plans to save the estate.
The film is a blend of humor, adventure, and heartwarming moments as Garfield embraces his unexpected royal life while staying true to his mischievous nature.
