Hai Phuong (Ngô Thanh Vân), a former gangster, is estranged from her family after her father disowns her for her involvement with a gangster and criminal activities. After giving birth to her daughter Mai and having her former lover arrested, Hai Phuong retreats to the countryside to live a quiet life. She works as a debt collector, struggling to make ends meet for herself and her daughter. Mai faces bullying at school due to Hai Phuong’s reputation and her lack of a father, leading her to consider dropping out to support her mother and escape the community’s judgment.
One day, while at the market, Hai Phuong witnesses Mai being accused of stealing a wallet. Pressured by a witness to take their side, Hai Phuong initially doubts Mai’s innocence, deeply hurting her daughter. Mai lashes out, accusing her mother of trusting strangers more than her own family, and runs away. It is later revealed that Mai was simply returning a lost wallet belonging to a drunk man. Hai Phuong attempts to find Mai to apologize but discovers that her daughter has been kidnapped by thugs.
Determined to rescue Mai, Hai Phuong engages in a fierce pursuit, battling numerous henchmen along the way. Despite a prolonged chase, she loses track of the kidnappers but learns they are headed to Saigon. Hitchhiking her way there, Hai Phuong seeks help from a former gangster ally, only to be rejected. She then turns to the police, stealing reports on criminals linked to missing children. Her quest leads her to confront a criminal named Truc, resulting in a brutal fight where Hai Phuong gains the upper hand. She spares Truc’s life out of respect for his mother, and the police assign Detective Luong to resolve the case.
Truc reveals the location of the thugs, and Hai Phuong discovers their base of operations, uncovering a horrifying scheme involving illegal child organ trafficking. She defeats multiple henchmen before facing the ringleader, Thanh Soi, in a final showdown.
