Description: Reggie, a turkey, has always been wary of Thanksgiving, knowing that turkeys are typically the main dish. His constant warnings to his flock make him an outcast. When the flock finally understands the danger, they banish Reggie in a desperate attempt to save themselves. Unexpectedly, Reggie is chosen as the “pardoned turkey” by the U.S. President and taken to Camp David. There, he settles into a comfortable routine, indulging in pizza and watching Mexican soap operas.
One day, Reggie is captured by Jake, a member of the Turkey Freedom Front, who claims that “The Great Turkey” has instructed him to take Reggie back in time to the first Thanksgiving in 1621. Their mission is to remove turkeys from the holiday menu. Using a stolen time machine controlled by an A.I. named S.T.E.V.E., they travel back three days before the first Thanksgiving. Upon arrival, they face an ambush by colonial hunters led by Myles Standish but are saved by a group of native turkeys led by Chief Broadbeak and his children, Ranger and Jenny.
Chief Broadbeak explains that the turkeys have been forced into hiding since the settlers arrived and cannot retaliate without risking their lives. The next day, Broadbeak assigns Jake and Ranger to spy on the settlers while Reggie and Jenny disarm the hunters’ traps. Despite initial tensions, Jake and Ranger discover that the settlers are already preparing for Thanksgiving and uncover the location of their weapons.
