Genre: Drama;Mystery;Thriller
Description: Kyle Pratt, a recently widowed American aviation engineer based in Berlin, is traveling back to the U.S. with her six-year-old daughter Julia aboard an aircraft she helped design, the Elgin E-474, operated by Aalto Airlines. She is also transporting the body of her late husband, David. After waking from a nap, Kyle discovers Julia is missing, and neither the passengers nor the crew recall seeing her. Flight attendant Stephanie informs Kyle there is no record of Julia boarding the flight, and Kyle cannot find her daughter’s boarding pass or backpack.
Insisting on a search, Captain Marcus Rich investigates, while sky marshal Gene Carson monitors the distressed Kyle. Kyle reveals her husband died from a fall off their roof, which she refuses to believe was suicide. Later, Captain Rich receives a message from a Berlin hospital stating Julia died alongside her father. Convinced Kyle is delusional from grief, the crew restrains her. Doubting her own sanity, Kyle notices a heart drawing Julia made on the fogged window next to her seat, reigniting her determination.
Kyle sabotages the aircraft’s electronics, causing chaos. She uses a dumbwaiter to access the freight deck, suspecting Julia is inside her husband’s casket, but only finds his body. Carson handcuffs Kyle and informs her the plane is making an emergency stop in Goose Bay Airport, Canada, where she will be taken into custody. She pleads with Carson to search the aircraft’s hold, and he complies, sneaking down to investigate.
