Storyline:
One year after the tragic explosion of Flight 180, college student Kimberly Corman is on her way to Daytona Beach, Florida, for spring break with her friends Shaina McKlank, Dano Estevez, and Frankie Whitman. While waiting on the entrance ramp to Route 23, Kimberly experiences a terrifying premonition of a fatal pileup caused by a logging truck. To prevent disaster, she stalls her car on the ramp, saving several lives, including lottery winner Evan Lewis, mother Nora Carpenter and her son Tim, businesswoman Kat Jennings, stoner Rory Peters, pregnant Isabella Hudson, high school teacher Eugene Dix, and Deputy Marshal Thomas Burke. Despite her efforts, Shaina, Dano, and Frankie are killed in a separate accident involving a car carrier.
As the survivors are questioned by the police, Evan dies in a freak accident when a fire escape ladder impales him during a fire at his apartment. Realizing Death’s presence, Kimberly seeks help from Clear Rivers, the sole survivor of Flight 180, who has isolated herself in a psychiatric ward for protection. Clear deduces that the survivors are dying in reverse order, and they face a race against time to escape their fates.
Meanwhile, Tim is crushed by a falling windowpane, and Nora meets a gruesome end when she becomes trapped in an elevator. Kimberly and Burke turn to William Bludworth, who suggests that new life might disrupt Death’s plan. Believing Isabella’s unborn child could be the key to survival, they gather the remaining survivors while marshals work to protect Isabella as she goes into labor.
The survivors must unite to outsmart Death and break the cycle of fate before it’s too late.
