Description: “Fighting With My Family” is a 2019 film that tells the story of wrestlers Rick and Julia Knight, who raise their children, Saraya and Zak, to follow in their footsteps. As young adults, the siblings apply to join the WWE and are evaluated by Hutch Morgan, a veteran trainer. After a tryout at The O2 Arena, Saraya adopts the stage name “Paige” and is chosen by Morgan to train for the WWE, while Zak is not selected.
Paige struggles with the intense training in Florida, particularly because her fellow trainees are mostly models and cheerleaders with no wrestling experience. She also finds it difficult to perform scripted promos and faces constant criticism from Morgan. When Zak is sent home after being told he will never make it in the WWE, Paige feels further isolated.
During her WWE debut at an NXT live event, Paige is heckled by the crowd and leaves the ring in tears. She tries to fit in by changing her appearance but continues to struggle. After failing an obstacle course, she confronts her peers for gossiping about her. Morgan later reveals that he didn’t sign Zak because he would have been forced to work as a jobber, which would have ruined his health. Morgan’s own wrestling career ended similarly, and he shares this with Paige to help her understand his decisions.
