Description: The film *Fear of Rain* (2021) tells the story of Rain Burroughs, played by Madison Iseman, who experiences intense and unsettling visions. The story begins with Rain being chased through a forest by a man in a dark hoodie. She wakes up in a hospital, where her parents, Michelle (Katherine Heigl) and John (Harry Connick Jr.), are by her side. After returning to school, Rain befriends Caleb (Israel Broussard), a new student whom she admires.
One night, Rain has a disturbing dream in which she sees her teacher, Mrs. McConnell (Eugenie Boundarant), dancing with a small child. Terrified, she wakes up and shares her fears with her father, who reassures her that nothing is amiss. Despite this, Rain and her father visit Mrs. McConnell’s house but find no evidence of wrongdoing.
At school the next day, Rain accidentally bumps into Mrs. McConnell in the cafeteria and flees in fear. Caleb comforts her, and Rain confides in him about her dream. Caleb believes her, and the two decide to investigate further by visiting Mrs. McConnell’s home again. However, they are forced to flee when the teacher unexpectedly returns.
Later, Rain and Caleb enjoy a day together at an aquarium and over ice cream. At school, they search for clues about missing children. Rain spots a child who resembles the one from her dream. As she tries to comfort a crying girl at school, the girl lashes out, accusing Rain of being blind to others’ struggles due to her schizophrenia.
Caleb later questions Rain about her condition, showing his concern. Determined to uncover the truth, Rain and Caleb attempt to break into Mrs. McConnell’s house again, hoping to find answers to the mysteries that haunt her.
