Description: “Fast X” (also known as “Fast & Furious 10”) is a 2023 American action film directed by Louis Leterrier. The screenplay, written by Dan Mazeau and Justin Lin, is based on a story crafted by Mazeau, Lin, and Zach Dean. Serving as the sequel to “F9” (2021), it marks the first part of the final installment in the mainline “Fast & Furious” franchise and the eleventh film overall. The movie features Vin Diesel reprising his role as Dominic Toretto, alongside a star-studded supporting cast including Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jason Momoa, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Rita Moreno.
The development of the tenth film began in 2014, with plans for a two-part finale announced in October 2020. Justin Lin was initially set to direct but stepped down in April 2022 due to creative differences, though he remained involved as a writer and producer. Louis Leterrier took over as director shortly after and made uncredited revisions to the screenplay. Longtime franchise composer Brian Tyler returned to create the film’s score. With an estimated budget of $340 million, it ranks as one of the most expensive films ever made. Filming took place across various locations, including London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles, and concluded in August 2022.
