Description: Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a classic 1982 film set in a fictional high school in the San Fernando Valley. The story revolves around Brad Hamilton, a popular senior at Ridgemont High, who is eager to enjoy his final year of school. Brad works at All-American Burger and is close to paying off his 1960 Buick LeSabre. He plans to break up with his girlfriend, Lisa, to stay single during his senior year. However, his plans are disrupted when a confrontation with a rude customer gets him fired. When Brad tries to reconnect with Lisa, he learns she wants to date other guys. Brad takes a new job at Captain Hook Fish & Chips but quits in embarrassment after being mocked for wearing a pirate costume during a delivery.
Brad’s younger sister, Stacy, is a 15-year-old freshman and a virgin. She works at Perry’s Pizza at Ridgemont Mall with her confident friend, Linda Barrett. One night, Stacy is asked out by a customer named Ron Johnson, who thinks she’s 19. She sneaks out for a date with him and loses her virginity in a baseball field dugout. Stacy later tells Linda about the painful experience, and Ron sends her flowers the next day.
Meanwhile, Mike Damone, a smooth-talking student who takes sports bets and scalps concert tickets, considers himself a ladies’ man. His best friend, Mark Ratner, a shy but friendly guy, works as a movie theater usher. When Mark develops a crush on Stacy, Damone shares his “five secrets” for winning girls over. With Damone’s encouragement, Mark asks Stacy out on a date to a German restaurant.
The film captures the ups and downs of teenage life, friendships, and relationships in a humorous and relatable way.
