Description: Gwen Olsen, a businesswoman, former police officer Patrick Sullivan, stepbrothers J. D. and Brax Weaver, and teenager Melanie Cole arrive at Fantasy Island, a tropical resort where fantasies are said to come true. Upon their arrival, Mr. Roarke, the island’s proprietor, guides each guest to their personalized fantasy. Patrick is enlisted in a war to honor his late father, the Weaver brothers are welcomed as guests at a lavish mansion party, Melanie seeks revenge on her childhood bully Sloane Maddison, and Gwen accepts a marriage proposal from her ex-boyfriend Allen Chambers, a proposal she had previously declined years ago.
As the story unfolds, Melanie discovers that Sloane was kidnapped and brought to the island against her will. She rescues Sloane from a masked surgeon, and they flee together. Meanwhile, Patrick is captured by a military platoon and brought to their commander, Lieutenant Sullivan, who Patrick recognizes as his father. Later that night, the masked surgeon attacks Melanie and Sloane again, but a private investigator named Damon intervenes and kills the surgeon. Damon reveals that Roarke offered him the chance to reunite with his deceased daughter, but the fantasy turned into a nightmare, trapping him on the island. He explains that the fantasies are fueled by spring water located beneath a glowing rock in a cave.
Melanie, Sloane, and Damon collect some of the spring water and head to the resort for assistance. The next morning, Gwen wakes up to find she has a daughter with Allen, but she becomes dissatisfied with her fantasy. Roarke explains that the fantasies must be fulfilled for his own fantasy of reuniting with his deceased wife to continue. Gwen persuades him to grant her the fantasy she truly desires: saving her neighbor who died in a fire.
Unbeknownst to the guests, Fantasy Island begins to twist their fantasies into horrifying realities. The Weaver brothers are taken hostage by a drug cartel linked to the mansion’s owner, and Gwen is transported to the night she accidentally started the fire that killed her neighbor, Nick Taylor.
