**Storyline:**
In the quaint Icelandic town of Húsavík, childhood friends Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdóttir form the band Fire Saga, united by their shared passion for music. Despite the disapproval of Lars’ widowed father, Erick, Lars dreams of winning the Eurovision Song Contest. While deeply devoted to his “art,” the local audience at their performances only demands the playful nonsense song, “JaJa Ding Dong.”
When Fire Saga is randomly chosen to compete in Söngvakeppnin, Iceland’s pre-selection for Eurovision, Sigrit turns to Icelandic folklore, seeking help from elves in hopes of winning the contest and winning Lars’ heart. However, their performance is a disaster due to technical issues, and the talented Katiana Lindsdóttir secures the victory.
Devastated, Lars avoids the celebratory boat party for the finalists, and while he sits on the dock, the boat mysteriously explodes, killing everyone aboard. As the only surviving contestants, Fire Saga is declared Iceland’s entry to Eurovision by default.
The duo travels to Edinburgh, Scotland, where Eurovision is being held. There, they face challenges with their song remix and Lars’ ambitious stage design. They meet Alexander Lemtov, a Russian singer and the contest favorite, who invites them to a lavish party.
At the party, tensions arise as Lars and Sigrit grow closer to other contestants—Lars with Mita Xenakis from Greece and Sigrit with Alexander. Their actions create friction within Fire Saga, nearly jeopardizing their semifinal performance.
When Lars overhears Sigrit working on a new song, he mistakenly believes it’s a love song for Alexander. Meanwhile, Katiana’s ghost appears to warn Lars of impending danger, but he dismisses her warnings.
As the competition unfolds, Fire Saga must overcome their personal struggles and find a way to shine on the Eurovision stage.
