Description: In 1979, the Pope assigns a priest to safeguard a newborn baby named Christine York in New York City. Identified by satanists as the chosen mother of Satan’s child, Christine is targeted by Vatican knights led by a corrupt cardinal who believe she must be eliminated. Twenty years later, in 1999, Satan takes control of an investment banker. Meanwhile, Jericho Cane, a former NYPD detective struggling with alcoholism and grief over the contract killings of his wife and daughter, works for a private security firm. Blaming God for his suffering, Jericho is tasked with protecting the possessed banker alongside his friend Bobby Chicago.
A priest named Thomas Aquinas fails to kill the banker and is captured by Jericho, who hands him over to the police. Jericho’s former colleague, NYPD detective Marge Francis, informs him that Aquinas has no tongue. Investigating Aquinas’ apartment, Jericho and Bobby discover his tongue preserved in a jar, along with blood-written messages and symbols on the walls. They learn that Aquinas was trained by the Vatican and had been sent to New York before vanishing.
Jericho questions Father Kovak, a priest acquainted with Aquinas, but receives evasive answers. Satan later enters the hospital where Aquinas is held, crucifying him on the ceiling. After being brought down and presumed dead, Aquinas’ body reveals the Latin phrase “Christ in New York” carved into his skin. This leads Jericho and Bobby to Christine York’s apartment, where they rescue her from Vatican knights attempting to kill her.
Satan intervenes, killing Bobby and forcing Jericho and Christine to flee. Jericho later confronts Marge and another officer, both revealed as Satanists, and kills them to protect Christine. Satan resurrects Marge to rally his followers and continue his mission. The story builds as Jericho and Christine face relentless threats while battling the forces of evil.
