Description: Ejen Ali: The Movie, released in 2019, follows a gripping storyline that spans two timelines. The narrative begins 15 years prior, where two young women, Aliya and Niki, infiltrate a restricted cargo area to steal an artificial heart for an elderly woman named Mak Yah. Upon their escape, they are intercepted by pillar leaders. Aliya courageously stays behind to fight, allowing Niki to flee with the equipment.
In the present day, Cyberaya’s mayor, Dato’ Othman, is taken hostage during a hijacked airplane incident. M.A.T.A., a specialized agency, is called in for rescue, led by Ali and his team. A fierce battle ensues, during which the hijackers detonate a bomb, causing significant damage to the aircraft. The mayor is ejected, and the attackers escape. Attempts to stabilize the plane fail until two new agents, Bobby (Inviso) and Fit (Techno), arrive. Bobby successfully rescues the mayor, while Fit uses a new device to stabilize the plane. This introduces Ali to the I.R.I.S Neo project, a secret initiative based on the I.R.I.S ATLAS with an override mode, leaving Ali questioning his role and the necessity of his original I.R.I.S unit.
That night, Ali discovers a box belonging to his mother, filled with memories and toys. Among the items is a lullaby music box that, when manipulated, reveals a secret pen drive with an emblem. Unable to access its contents, Ali grows suspicious. The following day, he meets Alicia and Bakar at a restaurant, Mamak Maju, and they covertly travel to M.A.T.A. Headquarters with the help of undercover agents Rahul, Rajesh, and Razman. At the meeting, Dato’ Othman reveals his role in establishing M.A.T.A., emphasizing that all agents serve him. General Rama updates the team on the investigation into the hijacking, identifying Azureum as the fuel used in the bomb. Suspecting an illegal arms deal, Rama orders a raid on Brother Bear, a dealer linked to smuggled weaponry.
