Description: Drishyam 2 is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Abhishek Pathak. The movie features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Akshaye Khanna in leading roles, supported by Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and Rajat Kapoor. A sequel to the 2015 film Drishyam, it is a remake of the 2021 Malayalam movie of the same name.
Filming took place primarily in Goa, with additional locations in Mumbai and Hyderabad. The film was released in theaters on November 18, 2022. Following the success of Drishyam 2 (2021), the sequel to the original 2013 Malayalam film, plans were made to adapt it into Hindi. Abhishek Pathak was chosen to direct, with Panorama Studios producing and Yash Raj Films handling distribution. Principal photography began in Mumbai on February 17, 2022, and was completed on June 21, 2022, in Hyderabad.
Critics praised the film for its gripping narrative and strong performances. Bollywood Hungama awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, calling it a “paisa vasool experience” with an applause-worthy climax. The Times of India rated it 3.5 out of 5, highlighting its twists and turns that keep viewers engaged. Bollywood Bubble also gave it 3.5 stars, describing it as a top-notch sequel that delivers on all fronts.
