**Storyline:**
Bowen, an English knight guided by ‘The Old Code,’ mentors Prince Einon, a Saxon, hoping to shape him into a noble king unlike his tyrannical father, King Freyne. During a peasant uprising, the king is killed, and Einon is fatally wounded by a young peasant girl named Kara. Einon’s mother, Queen Aislinn, takes him to a dragon, who saves his life by replacing his heart with half of its own. In return, Einon promises to rule justly. However, he becomes even more oppressive than his father, enslaving the rebels and forcing them to rebuild a Roman castle. Convinced the dragon’s heart corrupted Einon, Bowen vows to hunt down all dragons.
Twelve years later, Einon has rebuilt his castle and continues his cruel reign. Kara pleads for her father’s freedom after years of slavery, only for Einon to kill him instead. Meanwhile, Bowen has become a renowned dragonslayer. He encounters a dragon in its cave, but instead of fighting, they agree to a truce and form a partnership to deceive villagers with staged dragon slayings. Bowen names the dragon Draco. Unbeknownst to Bowen, Draco is the dragon who shared his heart with Einon, and they share a deep connection, feeling each other’s pain.
Kara, driven by revenge, attempts to assassinate Einon but is imprisoned. When Einon realizes Kara was the one who nearly killed him as a child, he tries to manipulate her into becoming his queen. Disgusted by her son’s actions, Queen Aislinn helps Kara escape. Kara attempts to rally her village against Einon, but they betray her, offering her to Draco. Einon confronts Bowen in a fierce battle, revealing he never believed in the code and only used Bowen to learn combat. Just as Einon gains the upper hand, Draco intervenes, exposing his shared heart and forcing Einon to flee. Kara urges Bowen to help overthrow Einon, but the disillusioned knight refuses.
