**StoryLine:**
The film begins with Pavalakkodi (Nayanthara) in the hospital, while her father, Vairakannu (Thambi Ramaiah), mourns her unfortunate situation. The scene then shifts to the present, where Pavalakkodi and Vairakannu reside in a small home. Vairakannu, a dedicated single father, raised Pavalakkodi as his only child. She now cares for him in his old age and has no desire to marry. Together, they live a peaceful and content life.
Nearby, in an apartment, three thieves, posing as builders and street vendors, break in, steal valuables, and commit a heinous crime, killing the housewife. A police officer (Harish Uthaman) is assigned to investigate but finds minimal evidence, except for a Rajasthani blanket left behind. Despite questioning the household staff and owner, he gains little information. Using the blanket as a clue, the officer begins his search for the culprits.
Meanwhile, Vairakannu expresses his wish to visit the local Kuladevi temple to arrange a marriage for Pavalakkodi. They reach out to Vairakannu’s sister for a car, but she refuses, and her husband becomes hostile. Pavalakkodi steps in, defending her father and reminding her aunt of Vairakannu’s sacrifices that led to their comfortable life. Determined, Pavalakkodi vows to start her own taxi business and surpass her aunt’s success.
Vairakannu and Pavalakkodi use their savings to purchase a car. At the dealership, Pavalakkodi feels an inexplicable unease but dismisses it. Drawn to a vintage car, she decides to buy it, unaware of the supernatural force it harbors. The story takes a mysterious turn as they take the car home.
