Description: Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) follows the story of Deuce Bigalow, played by Rob Schneider, a shy and insecure aquarium cleaner who loses his job after an embarrassing incident. Struggling to attract women and find purpose, Deuce takes on a house-sitting job for Antoine Laconte, a male prostitute. However, disaster strikes when Deuce accidentally damages Antoine’s home and faces a $6,000 repair bill.
Desperate to pay off the debt, Deuce is convinced by a low-budget pimp, T.J. Hicks (Eddie Griffin), to step into Antoine’s shoes as a gigolo. Despite his lack of experience, Deuce focuses on making his clients feel valued rather than pursuing physical relationships. He connects with a variety of unique individuals, including a narcoleptic woman, a person with Tourette syndrome, an extremely tall woman, and an obese woman, providing them with friendship and emotional support.
As Deuce’s client list grows, he develops feelings for Kate, a client with a prosthetic leg. However, their relationship hits a snag when she discovers his secret profession, leading to a breakup. The film highlights Deuce’s journey of self-discovery and his unconventional yet heartfelt approach to helping others.
