Description: Raghavan, Sajith, Vimal, and Srinivasan, known as Srini, are four friends. In a display of false bravery, they decide to explore a decaying mansion in De Monte Colony, which is rumored to be haunted. They sneak into the house but get separated in the darkness, experiencing a terrifying ordeal. Although they all manage to escape seemingly unharmed, the next day they visit an astrologer. Three of them have their thumbprints taken and receive future predictions, while Sajith is told his prediction will come later due to missing materials.
Returning home, everything appears normal, and Sajith goes to bed. Meanwhile, while Srini is riding his bike, he receives a call from the astrologer, who wants to discuss something urgent. However, Srini cannot hear the details, and the call drops. When he arrives at the astrologer’s residence, he finds him dead.
Later, the friends become curious about the history of De Monte Colony, and Raghavan shares the story. Years ago, the area was a colony owned by Portuguese business tycoon Lord John De Monte, who controlled much of Chennai. He ordered a special necklace as a birthday gift for his wife, but shortly after, she became mentally ill. De Monte learned of his son’s death through a letter and fell into despair. He decided to return to Portugal, traveling to Calcutta to sell his properties in India before leaving.
After five months, De Monte returned home only to discover that one of his servants had raped his wife, leaving her pregnant. He requested a doctor to treat his wife within the house, but the doctor refused, citing hospital regulations. Taking this as a personal insult, De Monte killed the doctor and all his servants, consumed by doubts about who was responsible for the crime.
This chilling tale leaves the friends questioning the mysteries surrounding De Monte Colony.
