Description: Dr. Emma Collins continues her late father’s mission to protect Great White Sharks on an artificial island near South Africa called Little Happy. Alongside her team—Spinnaker (“Spinn”), Miya, and Eugene Shaw, her father’s close friend and brother figure—she works tirelessly. The island is also home to her friends Nandi and her brother Bahari. A bull shark named Bella, responsible for previous chaos, is discovered dead after being trapped in fishing nets by Dr. Richard Lowell and his crew aboard the Thasos. They visit Little Happy to find that Bella’s three surviving pups have grown into adults, now the last of their kind.
Richard, revealed to be Emma’s ex-boyfriend, leads his team on a dive to track the bull sharks, with Emma joining them. They encounter three White Sharks devoured by the bull sharks. Soon after, Brown, a member of Richard’s team, is brutally killed by the predators. Emma assists in capturing and sedating one of the largest bull sharks, but Richard is injured in the process.
Tragedy strikes again when Bahari is attacked and killed by one of the remaining bull sharks while fishing. Nandi later finds his severed arm. Devastated by the loss, Emma confronts Richard, who discloses that these bull sharks possess heightened intelligence, referencing events from the first two films. He explains that the beacon attached to their deceased mother can lure her offspring, and warns that allowing them to reproduce would lead to disaster.
Lucas, the leader of Genotic Labs’ mercenaries, takes control from Richard and plots to eliminate everyone, including Emma and her team, and escape with the captured shark. Unbeknownst to them, Emma and her team monitor their actions using an underwater drone.
