Three friends—Arlene, Shanna, and radio DJ “Jungle” Julia Lucai—drive through Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas, on their way to celebrate Julia’s birthday. At a bar, Julia shares that she made a radio announcement offering a free lap dance from Arlene in exchange for addressing her as “Butterfly,” buying her a drink, and reciting a line from the poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Meanwhile, Mike McKay, an aging Hollywood stunt double, follows the women to the bar and claims the lap dance. Julia, who is featured on billboards around town, is unimpressed with him. Despite Arlene’s suspicions after noticing Mike’s car earlier that day, he convinces her to fulfill the promise.
The group plans to head to Shanna’s family lake house with their friend Lanna. Pam, Julia’s former classmate, accepts a ride home from Mike.
