Struggling in the dating scene, her producer, Hailey (Murray), proposes a promotional idea: listeners can nominate friends to go on dates with Shannon. Excited by the concept, Shannon agrees, hoping to move on after her breakup with Gavin (Evans). However, things take a turn when Shannon runs into Gavin during her first radio-sponsored date. Hurt by seeing Shannon with someone else, Gavin pleads for a second chance.
Although Shannon turns him down, she confides in Hailey that she still has feelings for him. Soon after, the situation turns dark when Shannon discovers her date has been killed before their second meeting. Fear and suspicion take over as Shannon begins to notice Gavin appearing wherever she goes. Eventually, Gavin convinces her of his innocence, and their relationship reignites—until Hailey intervenes, trying to steal Gavin for herself.
