Description: DC League of Super-Pets is a 2022 American 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film produced by Warner Animation Group, inspired by the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets. Directed by Jared Stern in his theatrical debut, the film features a story co-written by Stern and John Whittington. It stars the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, and Vanessa Bayer.
The story begins during the destruction of Krypton, where a Kryptonian Labrador Retriever ends up in the escape pod of Kal-El, providing comfort as they journey to Earth. Years later, the dog, now known as Krypto, lives in Metropolis alongside Kal-El, who has become Superman. Krypto, under the alias Bark, and Superman, as Clark Kent, share their lives in the city. Clark is romantically involved with journalist Lois Lane, a relationship that sparks jealousy in Krypto.
Believing that Krypto needs companionship, Clark visits an animal shelter to find a friend for him. There, Krypto encounters a Boxer named Ace, who is attempting to escape. Krypto successfully prevents Ace from fleeing. Later, Superman and Krypto confront their archenemy Lex Luthor, who is attempting to harness the power of a meteorite containing orange kryptonite to gain superpowers. Their combined efforts easily thwart Luthor.
Meanwhile, Lulu, a guinea pig experimented on by Luthor, manages to obtain a piece of kryptonite, granting her superpowers. Unbeknownst to her, the other animals in the shelter also gain superpowers. Ace becomes incredibly strong and indestructible, a potbellied pig named PB gains the ability to shrink and grow, a turtle named Merton achieves super speed, and a squirrel named Chip develops electrokinetic powers.
Tensions rise at home when Superman plans to propose to Lois, leading to an argument with Krypto. However, Clark is captured by Lulu. Krypto attempts to rescue him but loses his powers after consuming cheese laced with green kryptonite. Determined to save Superman, Krypto seeks help from the shelter pets. While Ace initially hesitates, he eventually agrees to assist Krypto after being blackmailed. Together, they embark on a mission to rescue Superman.
