Description: In the 2014 film *Dawn of the Planet of the Apes*, a group of humans, led by Malcolm, ventures into the apes’ territory near San Francisco to locate a hydroelectric dam capable of restoring power to the city. During their mission, an encounter between Caesar’s son, Blue Eyes, and his friend Ash results in Ash being injured by a human named Carver. Malcolm intervenes to prevent further conflict, and Caesar demands the humans leave.
Koba, a scarred bonobo with a deep hatred for humans due to his past mistreatment in laboratories, urges Caesar to assert dominance. Caesar leads his army to the human settlement to demonstrate their strength, warning the humans to stay within their boundaries. Meanwhile, Malcolm persuades his leader, Dreyfus, to allow him to negotiate with the apes for access to the dam. Caesar agrees to let Malcolm’s team work on the generator, provided they surrender their weapons.
As Malcolm, his wife Ellie, and their son Alexander work alongside the apes, they begin to form a bond. This connection strengthens when Ellie, a nurse, successfully treats Caesar’s wife, Cornelia, for an illness. However, tensions rise when Koba discovers Dreyfus secretly arming the human community. Koba confronts Caesar, accusing him of favoring humans over apes. Caesar defeats Koba but spares his life.
Later, Koba retaliates by stealing an assault rifle, killing two guards, and framing the humans for the attack. He sets fire to the apes’ home and shoots Caesar, making it appear as though the humans are responsible. Koba’s actions ignite a war between the apes and humans, leaving the fragile peace shattered.
