**Storyline:**
The Barrett family—Lacy, Daniel, and their two sons, Jesse and Sammy—lives in a quiet suburban neighborhood in an unnamed American city. Daniel is unemployed, leaving Lacy, a real estate agent, as the sole provider for the family. The two boys share a close bond and often communicate using walkie-talkies from their beds.
Strange and unsettling events begin to plague the family. One night, the kitchen is found rearranged in bizarre ways, and the house alarm is triggered despite all entry points being secure. Sammy experiences a seizure at a pool, and Lacy is terrified when hundreds of birds suddenly crash into the house. Late one evening, Lacy hears a noise from Sammy’s room and sees a shadowy figure standing over his bed. When she turns on the lights, the figure vanishes, and Sammy is found wandering outside with no memory of how he got there.
Lacy, Daniel, and Jesse all suffer mysterious catatonic episodes, waking up with no recollection of what happened. Sammy is discovered with unexplained marks on his body during a pool party, and Jesse’s episode in the woods leads to his hospitalization, where doctors find geometric shapes on his skin. Concerned, the doctors notify Child Protective Services.
Desperate for answers, Lacy researches their experiences online and finds connections to UFO sightings and alien abductions. Daniel installs security cameras in the house, and upon reviewing the footage, they are horrified to see three shadowy figures standing over their beds as they slept. Convinced that an extraterrestrial force is targeting them, Lacy and Daniel consult a specialist named Edwin Pollard, who identifies the beings as “the Greys.” Pollard warns them that many families have endured similar ordeals, often resulting in the abduction of a child.
