Description: As a child, Matt Murdock is accidentally blinded by toxic chemicals after witnessing his father, Jack “The Devil” Murdock, involved in criminal activities with a local mobster named Fallon. Despite losing his sight, Matt’s remaining senses are heightened, granting him extraordinary agility and sonar-like hearing. Guilt-ridden over his son’s accident, Jack abandons crime and revives his boxing career, making a remarkable comeback. However, Fallon reveals he orchestrated Jack’s success by bribing opponents and demands Jack throw his next fight. When Jack refuses, he is murdered.
Years later, Matt becomes a lawyer in Hell’s Kitchen, working alongside his friend Franklin “Foggy” Nelson. By night, he fights crime as the vigilante “Daredevil.” Reporter Ben Urich writes about Daredevil’s exploits and investigates “The Kingpin,” a mysterious crime lord controlling New York’s underworld. Unbeknownst to Urich, the Kingpin is Wilson Fisk, a ruthless mobster masquerading as a legitimate businessman.
Matt falls for Elektra Natchios, a skilled martial artist, unaware she is the daughter of Fisk’s lieutenant, Nikolas Natchios. When Nikolas tries to cut ties with Fisk, Fisk hires Bullseye, a deadly assassin with pinpoint accuracy, to kill him. Daredevil fails to save Nikolas, and Bullseye frames Daredevil for the murder by using his baton. Urich eventually uncovers Matt’s secret identity after noticing he disguises his weapon as a white cane.
