Description: Teddy Murretto, a con artist and fixer, flees in a stolen unmarked police car that breaks down near a Nevada casino. Inside, rookie police officer Valerie Young arrests Murretto after he punches her to seek protection from his pursuers. Among them is Bob Viddick, a hitman who sneaks into the same jail by pretending to be drunk and crashing into Murretto’s abandoned car. Initially, Murretto and Viddick are placed in separate cells, preventing Viddick from carrying out his plan to kill Murretto.
However, Viddick sets off a small explosive device at the station’s entrance, creating chaos. He overpowers his cellmate and the police sergeant, stealing a gun and nearly killing Murretto before Young intervenes. Meanwhile, another hitman, Anthony Lamb, enters the station, disguised with balloons, and begins killing officers. Young retreats to the holding cells after being accidentally wounded by a ricocheting bullet.
Corrupt officer Huber, who has been stealing drugs from the evidence locker, joins forces with Lamb, revealing his betrayal. As they attempt to break into the cells, Murretto reveals he was working for a Nevada casino mob boss and tried to bribe the state’s attorney general, William Fenton. When Fenton was murdered, recorded conversations implicated Murretto, leading him to cooperate with the FBI and triggering the mob boss to send assassins after him.
