This film marks the first production under the Spin Master Entertainment banner and serves as the initial adaptation of its source material. The story revolves around Ryder and his team of rescue pups, who are summoned to Adventure City to stop the villainous Mayor Humdinger from causing chaos. The voice cast includes Kingsley Marshall, Keegan Hedley, Shayle Simons, Lilly Bartlam, and Ron Pardo, reprising their roles from the series. They are joined by newcomers Iain Armitage, Marsai Martin, Yara Shahidi, Kim Kardashian, Randall Park, Dax Shepard, Tyler Perry, Jimmy Kimmel, and Will Brisbin.
Released theatrically in the UK and Ireland on August 9, 2021, the film was distributed by Paramount Pictures in the US on August 20, 2021, both in theaters and on Paramount+ for subscribers at no extra cost.
As Ryder and the pups leave Adventure Bay, they confront their arch-nemesis, Mayor Humdinger, who has taken over Adventure City and unleashed mayhem. While one pup confronts their past, the team gains a new ally, the clever dachshund Liberty. Equipped with advanced gadgets and gear, the PAW Patrol works together to protect the citizens of Adventure City and restore order.
