Description: In rural Belgium, 13-year-old Léo and Rémi share an unbreakable bond, marked by deep affection and closeness. Rémi’s parents, Sophie and Peter, embrace their friendship without judgment, treating Léo as part of their family. The boys often play together at a flower farm managed by Léo’s family and enjoy sleeping side by side in Rémi’s bedroom. However, their friendship faces challenges when they begin high school. A group of classmates questions whether the two are a couple, prompting Léo to deny it fiercely while Rémi remains silent.
As homophobic taunts target Léo, he grows uneasy with how others perceive their relationship. Seeking acceptance, he distances himself from Rémi, joining a hockey team and forming new friendships. Despite Rémi’s attempts to reconnect, Léo becomes increasingly withdrawn, avoiding sleepovers and spending more time working at the farm or with other peers.
One night, while staying at Rémi’s house, Léo chooses to sleep separately, but wakes up to find Rémi beside him. Their playful wrestling turns rough, leaving Rémi hurt and confused. Though they keep the incident to themselves, their once-close friendship continues to unravel as Léo pulls further away, leaving Rémi struggling to understand the growing divide between them.
