Storyline:
Chow Ti is a poor construction worker living in a partially demolished house with his nine-year-old son, Dicky. Despite financial struggles, Ti is determined to save money to keep Dicky in private school. However, Dicky faces bullying from classmates and criticism from teachers due to his poverty and worn-out clothes.
One day, Dicky begs his father to buy him a popular robotic toy called CJ1 while at a department store. Unable to afford it, Ti ends up scolding Dicky in front of other customers. Later, Ti visits a junkyard, where he often collects discarded items for Dicky. There, he finds a mysterious green orb and brings it home, presenting it to Dicky as a new toy. Initially hesitant, Dicky eventually accepts it.
The next day, Dicky takes the orb to school, where he gets into a fight with other children. That evening, the orb transforms into a friendly alien creature. Dicky names it “CJ7” and dreams of it helping him gain popularity and better grades at school.
When other students discover CJ7, they try to take it away and harm it. Despite their efforts, they fail, and Dicky defends the alien. Eventually, CJ7 reveals its abilities, astounding the students. Dicky thanks the group leader for keeping CJ7 a secret, and they agree not to reveal it to adults.
