**Storyline:**
A team of elite agents, known as the Angels and led by senior operative John Bosley, successfully captures international embezzler Jonny Smith in Rio de Janeiro, handing him over to American authorities. A year later, the European branch of the Townsend Agency is alerted by Elena Houghlin, an engineer and programmer working for entrepreneur Alexander Brok. Elena wants to expose her superiors after discovering that Brok’s head developer, Peter Fleming, is hiding a critical flaw in an energy-saving device called Calisto, which she helped invent. Calisto has the unintended ability to cause fatal seizures when used.
Elena meets with operative Edgar “Bosley” in Hamburg to share her findings, but an assassin named Hodak ambushes the meeting, killing Edgar and leaving Elena to drown. Edgar’s protégé, Jane Kano, rescues Elena and brings her to operative Rebekah “Bosley” with the help of her partner, Sabina Wilson. Meanwhile, John, now retired, discovers that Rebekah has secretly tagged him with the agency’s specialized subdermal implant.
Rebekah assigns Sabina, Jane, and Elena the mission to infiltrate Brok’s headquarters and retrieve the remaining Calisto prototypes. Elena finds one but is forced to use it to escape, unintentionally killing the chief of security, Ralph. Later, they learn that Fleming has taken the other prototypes. Rebekah tracks him to Istanbul, where Jane uses her intelligence contact, Fatima, to locate him at a remote rock quarry. There, Jonny Smith, supposedly imprisoned, is revealed as Fleming’s intermediary for selling Calisto. Hodak kills Fleming, and the Angels disrupt the sale, but Rebekah mysteriously disappears, allowing Smith and Hodak to escape with the prototypes.
Back at their safehouse, Sabina voices her suspicion that Rebekah is manipulating the team to steal Calisto for her own gain. As they discuss this, the safehouse is bombed. Rebekah arrives, only to be shot by John, who comes to rescue Elena.
