Description: Sameer Behl, played by Shahid Kapoor, arrives in Mumbai with aspirations of making it big in Bollywood. Struggling to make ends meet, he works as a courier during the day and faces constant rejection at auditions for advertisements. Refusing financial assistance from his father in Delhi, Sameer eventually gets evicted from his rented apartment. One day, movie director Rajeev Sharma and his assistant director notice Sameer dancing and invite him to their office.
Sameer is soon cast as the lead in Sharma’s film, while his friend Tina is hired as the choreographer. Despite his newfound opportunity, Sameer becomes homeless and sleeps in his car while also teaching dance at a school. However, he loses the film role and grows disheartened. Tina, who quits her job as choreographer out of solidarity, encourages him to join a television talent competition that offers the same role he had lost. Sameer participates and confesses his love for Tina.
Before the final round, Sameer learns that his father’s shop in Delhi has been demolished. He promises Tina he will return and heads to Delhi to assist his father. After witnessing Sameer’s performance on TV, his father urges him to go back to Mumbai and continue in the competition. Sameer arrives late for the final round and is initially denied entry, but he persuades the director to give him a chance. He wins the competition and secures the lead role in the movie “Chance Pe Dance.” A year later, he is seen walking the red carpet with Tina by his side.
