Description: “Chalbaaz” is a 2018 Indian Bengali romantic comedy film directed by Joydip Mukherjee. The movie features Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan and Subhashree Ganguly in the lead roles. The story follows Raja (Shakib Khan), a money-driven young man who travels to the UK to make a fortune. He encounters Srijata (Subhashree Ganguly), who has left her family for her long-term boyfriend. However, Srijata is betrayed by her boyfriend and left stranded in London. She then asks Raja to accompany her to Kolkata to resolve the chaos caused by her elopement. The narrative explores Raja’s response and the unfolding events.
The soundtrack of “Chalbaaz” was composed by Savvy, with lyrics by Priyo Chattopadhyay. The title track, “Chalbaaz,” sung by Shadaab Hashmi, was released as a promotional single on March 8, 2018. Other tracks, including “Aish Kori” and “Projapoti Mon,” were well-received by both critics and audiences upon their release.
This film marks the third collaboration between Shakib Khan and director Joydip Mukherjee, following the successes of “Shikari” and “Nabab.” It also represents the third partnership between Shakib Khan and Eskay Movies, as well as the second pairing of Shakib Khan and Subhashree Ganguly.
