Despite its fresh and novel premise, the film struggles with a slow-paced screenplay. The brother-sister dynamic begins well but becomes repetitive over time, and their frequent “bro” exchanges may feel tiresome. The narrative lacks the engagement needed to keep the audience fully invested.
Directed by Karthik Thupurani, a New York Film Academy alumnus, the film attempts to offer something unique for the Telugu audience. While the storyline is original, the execution falls short. The background score is commendable, and the cinematography remains the highlight, beautifully capturing the scenic locations.
It’s worth noting that the film is a remake of the Malayalam movie “Koode.” For viewers familiar with the original, this version may not feel as compelling. Overall, Bro caters to a niche audience, given its contemporary theme, and leaves some unresolved elements by the end.
